Catch up

So I really need to catch up on my Thankfuls...

Nov. 10

I'm thankful for a healthy body. With going to the doctor lately, I've realized how healthy I am. I think I've been to the doctor maybe 3 times since I was 5 years old. 1 physical for track in junior high, once for the flu that lasted over a week in high school, the "womanly" checkup before I got married, and then add on the last 3 times this past month. I'd say I've been pretty lucky. So many people struggle with their health constantly and I am so thankful I am not one of them.

I'm thankful for change. I have a love hate relationship with it. In some areas of my life I need constant change or I just get bored with myself, and in other areas, it is not so easy to handle. But overall I am thankful for it because it allows me to grow in all areas of my life.

I'm thankful for my bed :) I'm quite the napper if you know me well. Sleep time is very precious to me and not to be fooled with. So having a comfy warm bed is essential.

I'm thankful for the good times in life. Those moments when you can sit in silence and truly say to yourself that you are so happy and things can't seem to be better. Or the moments when you smile even when no one is around because there is no reason not to. These moments seem rare sometimes, but I guess that is the reason I'm thankful for them.

I'm thankful to have a job. There are some days when I definitely don't feel this way, but before we moved to Iowa I had a difficult time finding a full time job so it has been a great blessing for me to have the job I do. And most days it is pretty fun :)

I'm thankful for education. Landon and I have both been able to go to school and will come out with a relatively small amount of debt compared to what it could be. I'm so thankful that we have both been able to have this opportunity.

I'm thankful for trips to Utah! I just got back from visiting, which my next post will be about. It's so nice to be able to take a break and spend time with family and friends. I've been lucky to be able to visit so frequently.
