Flowers, Fragrances, & Fall

Here's a peek at some of the floral work I've done over the past little while...
The blue and orange centerpieces are from my childhood friend Kristi's wedding this past summer.

This centerpiece is from a September wedding. I LOVED how this turned out. It looked even better in person. There were 3 different colored roses that I color blocked into waves that wrapped around the side of the arrangement. You can kind of see it in the picture. But as I said, it was SO awesome in person. I was quite proud of myself. I was in the floral design zone that day. :)

The yellow, orange, and eggplant (seen on the ribbon accents) is from a friend's wedding in May. (Flowers used: ranunculus, billy balls, parrot tulips, tulips, dusty miller, dahlias, and roses.

This purple peacock bouquet and boutonniere were for my good friend Aubrey's bridal pictures.
(flowers include: anemones, brazilia, lisianthus, veronica, mini cabbages and peacock feathers)

These white arrangements were from the LDSBC Interior Design Opening Social ("White Event") that is held every fall for the interior design students to mingle and get to know each other. Kirsten Krason, a local interior designer, blogger, and LDSBC Interior Design graduate, came and spoke to us. She gave lots of good advice and is such a cute girl! She took home one of the arrangements I did and posted a pic on her blog Go play I SPY and check out her blog!

So I know this is randomly throw in, but I had to include it. Have you smelt this!? It's amazing!! Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. I first discovered it in my mom's bathroom and my wonderful mom had another one that she gave me. I found out that it comes in lotion and body wash as well. I think tomorrow I must go buy some! My handsoap is already more than half gone. I wash my hands probably more than necessary just so I can smell it :) Go soak up some of this scent for yourself!

I re-lived a fun tradition with my cute cousins over Conference weekend. We used to go every year during October to my aunt Kiney's cabin, but over the years we have all gotten married and been busy with our lives and haven't gone for a while. So this year we decided it was a must. It was so much fun and the leaves were beautiful. It was so good to see Whit, up from Las Vegas. If only it could have lasted longer! We've committed to going again next year so hopefully we can make it happen!

So for the last random insert... This is my little Halloween display this year. I always decorate the top of our tv cabinet for the holidays because our apartment doesn't have much space for decorating. I am proud to say that the only items I bought were the real mini pumpkins, which were about $4 and the black finial from Tai Pan for about $15. Pretty Good huh!? Tell me what you think!
P.S. Sorry the layout of this post is SO messed up, it just went all crazy on me!
